CURRENT REPORT

What we know

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of western Maryland, including the following areas, Eastern Garrett, Extreme Western Allegany and Western Garrett. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms are expected at times through this evening. Given the humid airmass in place, there is the potential for up to 2 inches of rain in an hour, with localized totals of up to 5 inches possible.
