FFWFGZ The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Coconino County in north central Arizona... * Until 530 PM MST /630 PM MDT/. * At 236 PM MST /336 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area, along and east of Highway 98 from 5 to 10 miles southeast of Page. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, highways, streets and underpasses. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Mainly rural areas of Coconino County. This includes the following slot canyons... Starting Water Wash. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
